Overview

Content Standards sit beside our Editorial Policy, Community Guidelines, and legal documents such as the Terms of Service. Editorial Policy explains process and independence. This page focuses on the substance and presentation of what appears on findedition.com.

Different sections have different formats. A longform investigation is not written like a movie catalog card. Still, every public page should be honest about what it is, avoid deceptive framing, and respect readers’ time. Staff content is held to the highest bar. User-generated content must meet community rules and may be removed when it fails those rules even if it would not be “wrong” as journalism.

Standards evolve as features launch. When we change expectations in a meaningful way, we update this page’s date and, where helpful, note the change in related policies.

Core Principles

FindEdition is published by FindEdition. Ownership and social-mission context are described on our About page, including the relationship with Uninetra. Mission-related funding goals do not excuse weak sourcing or undisclosed commercial influence over editorial judgments.

Accuracy & Sourcing

Important factual claims should rest on primary documents, official statements, reputable institutional data, or established reporting that itself cites evidence. Statistics need a timeframe and a source. When sources conflict, writers should prefer primary records and explain material disagreements rather than picking the most dramatic number.

Anonymous tips and social posts can start a story; they are rarely enough to publish a hard factual claim alone. Entertainment metadata may combine licensed database fields with editorial summaries — those summaries must not invent cast lists, release dates, or awards.

When we are unsure, we say so. Qualifiers (“reportedly,” “according to the manufacturer,” “subject to change”) are tools for honesty, not decoration. Outdated pages should be updated or clearly framed as historical when leaving them live still serves readers.

Fairness, Context & Tone

News and analysis should give readers enough context to understand contested claims. Opinion and analysis must be labeled so they are not mistaken for straight news. Reviews may be sharp; they should still be grounded in stated criteria (see Rating Methodology).

We avoid gratuitous graphic detail, sensational framing that oversells thin facts, and headlines that bait clicks with a promise the article does not keep. Sensitive topics — health, finance, law, elections, conflict — deserve extra care, plain language about limits, and a reminder that FindEdition content is general information, not personalized professional advice.

Inclusive language and accessible structure (clear headings, meaningful link text, alt text on informative images) are part of quality, not optional polish. See our Accessibility statement for how we approach barriers and feedback.

Labeling, Titles & Presentation

Titles, open-graph descriptions, and on-page summaries should accurately describe the content. Thumbnails should not misrepresent the subject. Sponsored or paid material must be labeled as such. Affiliate links, when affiliate features are enabled, need an appropriate disclosure (see Affiliate Disclosure).

Staff bylines and author profiles help readers evaluate expertise. Community posts use account display names and are not FindEdition staff editorials unless posted from an official account. AI-assisted material follows our AI Policy: human editors review published content; we do not claim that every sentence is written without tools, nor that every AI-assisted passage receives a separate public fact-check certificate.

Entertainment Discovery Standards

FindEdition’s movies, series, and anime sections help people discover and learn about titles. We do not provide streaming playback or file downloads of films or shows. Any third-party availability information is informational and may change without notice as platforms rotate catalogs.

Spoiler-sensitive reviews should warn readers when major plot points are discussed. User reviews must follow community rules: no spam, impersonation, or harassment. Editorial scores and community scores are distinct inputs in our rating system; missing or non-positive scores are not displayed as fabricated “0.0” ratings.

Imagery and trailers used for discovery should respect licensing and copyright processes. Copyright concerns can be directed through our DMCA page and [email protected].

Mobiles & Autos

Device and vehicle pages often combine manufacturer data, structured fields, and editorial commentary. Specifications, trims, and prices change by market and over time. FindEdition content should not present a snapshot as permanently authoritative. Comparison pieces should state what was compared and, when relevant, under what conditions.

Before buying, readers should verify details with sellers, official configurators, or local dealers. If affiliate or advertising modules are enabled on a page, commercial disclosure rules still apply and must not silently rewrite technical conclusions.

Recipes

Recipe pages should list ingredients clearly, describe steps in a usable order, and avoid dangerous improvisation presented as tested method. When a recipe is adapted, credit the inspiration where appropriate.

Food safety and allergies are personal and situational. FindEdition cannot know every reader’s allergies, equipment, or local food-safety rules. Cooks must use their own judgment, follow safe handling practices, and consult professionals when dietary medical advice is needed. We still treat clear instructional errors as priority corrections under our Corrections Policy.

Jobs, Freelance & Services

Work marketplace listings and profiles are largely submitted by users. FindEdition may moderate for spam, scams, and guideline violations, and may apply account checks in some flows, but we do not guarantee that every employer, client, or freelancer claim is independently verified.

Applicants and clients should use ordinary caution: research counterparties, avoid upfront payment scams, and never share sensitive credentials through comments. Misleading listings can be reported via support channels for moderation review.

Prohibited & Restricted Content

FindEdition does not allow content that is illegal to host in applicable jurisdictions, that promotes violent harm, that engages in harassment or hate, that facilitates scams, that impersonates others, or that infringes copyright or other rights. Sexually exploitative content involving minors is strictly forbidden. Spam, cloaking, and pages created solely to manipulate search rankings without serving readers are not acceptable.

We may restrict or remove health, financial, or legal claims that are dangerously misleading even when framed as opinion. Advertising creative, when advertising services are enabled, must also meet our Advertising Policy and applicable partner rules.

Quality Maintenance & Removal

Thin duplicates, abandoned stubs, plagiarized text, and seriously outdated guides may be updated, consolidated, or removed. Tool pages should describe what the tool does and any important limits on output. API and developer documentation should match the behavior of the product as shipped.
