Community Guidelines
Rules for participating in FindEdition questions, comments, jobs and freelancer listings, profiles, and other user-generated spaces.

At a glance
FindEdition hosts community features so people can ask questions, leave comments, publish profiles, and list jobs or freelance services on findedition.com. These guidelines explain what we expect, what we prohibit, and how moderation works. They apply together with the Terms of Service.
- No spam, harassment, hate, scams, or impersonation.
- FindEdition may remove content and limit accounts that break the rules.
- Report abuse via in-product tools or support channels.
- User posts are not staff editorial unless from an official account.
Overview
A useful community is honest, specific, and civil. FindEdition’s community spaces exist to help people learn, discover entertainment, share experiences with products and recipes, and connect around work opportunities — not to harass others or run scams.
These guidelines cover registered and, where applicable, guest participation across questions, comments, reviews, profiles, job and freelancer listings, and similar user-generated material. Staff-published articles follow editorial policies; community posts follow this page plus the Terms.
We may update guidelines as features evolve. Continued use of community features after an update means you should re-read the current version when notified or when the date changes.
Community Spaces on FindEdition
Questions & answers
Ask clear questions; answer with substance. Do not hijack threads for unrelated promotion.
Comments & reviews
Critique works and products; do not attack people. Fake reviews and brigading are prohibited.
Jobs & freelancer listings
Post real opportunities and accurate profiles. Misleading “too good to be true” offers will be removed.
Profiles
Represent yourself honestly. Do not impersonate FindEdition staff, celebrities, brands, or other users.
Entertainment discussions should remember that FindEdition is a discovery site — not a place to request or share pirated streams or downloads.
Baseline Expectations
- Be accurate enough that others can trust your claims; cite sources when asserting facts.
- Stay on topic for the page or thread you are posting in.
- Respect privacy: do not publish others’ personal contact details or private documents without permission.
- Use clear language; avoid obfuscation meant to evade spam filters.
- Accept that disagreement is allowed; insults and threats are not.
Good-faith mistakes happen. Bad-faith patterns — repeated spam, coordinated abuse, or scam funnels — are treated more harshly than a single off-topic comment.
Prohibited Conduct
The following are not allowed on FindEdition community surfaces:
- Spam: repetitive posts, keyword stuffing, unsolicited mass promotion, or link schemes.
- Harassment & threats: targeting individuals with abuse, stalking, or intimidation.
- Hate: attacks based on protected characteristics or dehumanizing rhetoric.
- Scams & fraud: phishing, fake jobs, advance-fee schemes, investment fraud, malware links.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, brand, or FindEdition official.
- Illegal content: content that is unlawful to host or that solicits illegal activity.
- Sexual exploitation of minors: strictly forbidden; we will act and may report as required.
- IP infringement: uploading content you do not have rights to share; see DMCA.
- Evasion: creating new accounts to bypass bans or mutes.
This list is not exhaustive. If behavior would make a reasonable person feel unsafe or defrauded, assume it violates the spirit of these guidelines.
Jobs, Freelance & Profile Honesty
Listings should describe the role or service truthfully: compensation structure (when stated), location or remote status, and who is hiring. Do not post fake jobs to harvest résumés. Do not charge applicants opaque “registration fees” as a condition of applying through FindEdition.
FindEdition may moderate listings and still cannot verify every third-party claim. Applicants and clients should research counterparties. Our Disclaimer explains verification limitations.
Portfolios and bios may highlight achievements without fabricating clients, credentials, or employment history.
Reviews, Ratings & Entertainment Talk
Share genuine opinions. Do not flood scores to manipulate rankings. Do not offer paid fake reviews. Staff ratings and community scores are distinct; see Rating Methodology.
Spoiler discussion is fine when labeled. Demanding pirated links, sharing illegal streams, or posting stolen account credentials will be removed.
Moderation Rights
FindEdition may remove, edit labels on, limit distribution of, or refuse to publish community content that violates these guidelines, the Terms, or applicable law. We may use human review, automated signals, or both. Automation helps; it does not guarantee instant detection of every violation.
We are not obligated to publish every submission. Declining a post is not necessarily a statement about the poster’s character; sometimes it is simply off-topic, duplicate, or low-quality spam.
Reporting Abuse
If you see spam, harassment, scams, or other violations:
- Use any in-product report controls on the post or profile when available.
- Or email [email protected] with the URL, a short description, and screenshots if helpful.
- For legal claims (defamation demands, privacy, IP), contact [email protected].
- For editorial errors on staff pages (not community disputes), use [email protected] or the contact form’s Editorial category.
False reporting used as a harassment tactic may itself lead to enforcement.
Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity and history, FindEdition may warn accounts, remove content, rate-limit posting, suspend features, or ban accounts. Severe scams or illegal content can lead to immediate removal without prior warning.
Appeals can be sent to [email protected] with the account email and relevant URLs. We aim to review good-faith appeals, but we do not guarantee reinstatement.
Staff Content vs Community Content
Official FindEdition articles and labeled staff accounts represent FindEdition editorial or product voice. Ordinary user posts do not. Quoting a community comment as if it were FindEdition’s position is misleading.
Advertising and affiliate modules, when enabled, follow commercial policies and must not be confused with unpaid community recommendations. Community members should disclose affiliation if they are promoting their own products in discussions.
Recipe threads and food tips must still respect allergy and food-safety judgment: do not pressure others to ignore medical dietary needs, and do not present dangerous “hacks” as tested FindEdition guidance. Product and vehicle advice in comments should note uncertainty when specs may have changed.
If you believe a staff article — not a community post — contains a factual error, use the Corrections Policy channels rather than starting a harassment campaign in comments. Civil critique is welcome; coordinated abuse is not.
